Sic Bo Online

Sic Bo which means ‘dice pair’ in Chinese, is a casino game which is played with dice and it is widely popular in Asia. Colorful Sic Bo tables are present in many casinos in Macau and Hong Kong, and in the Philippines, this game is called hi-lo. The game was introduced to the United States in the early 20th century and it’s now playable in most brick-and-mortar American casinos.  It’s also available in many licensed casinos that accept bets from Indian players.

As a casino game, Sic Bo online takes inspiration from several English games like Chuck-a-Luck and Grand Hazard. So if you’re familiar with these games, it’s easier for you to play the Sic Bo game. If not, read our brief guide on this exciting Asian-themed online casino game.

What is Sic bo?

Sic Bo is a popular Chinese game which is played using three dice. Also called Tai Sai and Chinese Dice, this game lets you bet on the results of the roll of three dice. Aside from the dice, the traditional Sic Bo game uses a colorful board with different sections that represent the potential outcomes or bets for the game. In brick and mortar casinos, a casino dealer uses a cage shaker and dice. You place bets on specific sections on the table and the dealer picks up a chest containing the dice, closes it, and shakes. Finally, the casino dealer opens the chest to reveal the winning combinations and winnings are paid accordingly.

In an online Sic Bo game, the betting procedure becomes fun and easier. Similar to the traditional table game in physical casinos, there’s a betting table with 50 admissible bets. This time, the pictorial representations of the bets are virtual. What’s interesting about an online Sic Bo game is that the payout schedule for each type of bet is displayed. This makes it easier for players to plan out their bets.

To start, simply click on a casino chip or token that represents the wager you want to play. Then click the section on the screen that corresponds to your bet and choose ‘Deal’ to virtually throw the dice. If the results of the throw match your bet, you win.

Online Sic Bo Bets

The game’s colorful board may seem complicated at first look, but it is actually quite easy to understand the different bets in Sic Bo. Described below are the most popular online Sic Bo bets you can play.

Total

You’re betting on the total of the three dice. This number ranges from 4 to 17, with 1 and 18 covered by the bets Triple 1 and Triple 6. The bet’s payout is displayed on the screen and based on the probability of a score happening. For example, a total of 4 pays 60 to 1.

Small and Big

This is a simplistic approach to betting as you wager whether the dice total is small (4 to 10) or big (11 to 17). It works like an even chance bet like odd/even that’s popular in online roulette. Hence, the payout for a winning bet stands at 1 to 1.

Combination

In Sic Bo rules, the combination is a bet on two specific numbers that appear on the three dice. For example, you can bet on a combination of 3 and 5, which would win if the three dice show 3, 5, and 6. Your payout for a winning combination bet is 6 to 1.

Single

Here, you’re betting on a specific number that will appear on any of the three dice. For example, betting on 2 will get a payout if the three dice reveal a 2, 4, and 6. The standard payout for this bet is 1 to 1. And if two turns up on two dice, you’re paid 2 to 1, and if 3 appears, your payout is 12 to 1.

Double

To play, you put your money on two specific numbers that will appear on the three dice. For example, a bet on double 3 will win if the throw of the three dice reveals 3, 3, and 5. In the real money Sic Bo game, you can wager on any double from 1 to 6 and it comes with a 10 to 1 payout.

Triple

As the term suggests, a triple bet is a wager on all three dice that will show a specific number. You can pick any specific number from 1 to 6 or play any triple that will happen. The standard payout for a winning bet is 30 to 1, but this moves up to 180 to 1 if you play the specific triple. This makes the bet an exciting and lucrative option that is better than the 35 to 1 payout bet on a single number in an online roulette game!
